OK, I rarely post quizzes, but this freaked me out.

I can identify with EVERY SINGLE ONE of the memories from this quiz---

You Are 100% A Child of the 80s

There's hardly a moment of the 80s that you missed out on.

Was there ever a better decade? As if!

I have no need of a quiz to say that I am a die-hard, dyed-in-the-wool 80's child.

Stormknight, just for you I'm reprinting the quiz.

It's less of a quiz than a trip down memory lane.

Each box you check off you it brings you back to your youth

Check all that apply to you or that you agree with.

You used to wear acid washed jeans.

You owned a Rubik's Cube.

You were obsessed with Pacman.

You remember people who had a Betamax VCR.

You watched MTV when it still was mostly music videos.

You remember when people thought you could get AIDS from mosquitos.

You owned an original Nintendo, complete with the Duck Hunt gun.

You watched the Olsen twins on Full House before they were tabloid material.

You loved E.T. and ate Reese's Pieces all the time.

You owned some Garbage Pail Kids cards.

Your mom used to wear shoulder pads.

You thought Thriller was the most awesome song (and video!) ever.

You met up with all your friends to go roller skating.

You saw Ghostbusters in the movie theater.

You remember Madonna when she when she was still pretty trashy.

You remember the "New Coke" - and you either loved it or hated it.

The Cosbys were practically your second family.

You "adopted" one of the Pound Puppies.

Top Gun made you want to be a fighter pilot... or marry one.

You had a mini keyboard and it gave you dreams of being a rock star.

You read "Choose Your Own Adventure" books.

You remember the first cassette tape you bought.

You played the original Trivial Pursuit.

You used to use gel in your hair.

You worried about acid rain.

Child of "an" '80s? What, there were more than one?

I only got 7 of those (3,4,5,6,14,15, 25)... prolly 'cos I was an actual adult in the '80s. I did my roller skating and Garbage Pail Kid collecting in the '70s, thank you. What I chiefly remember about the decade is that everyone was out of work, and everyone thought WW III was going to break out any time and end civilization. And the "average American" was even more shallow and self-absorbed than nowadays.

It was, however, a killer time for underground music. Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Dead Kennedys, Fear, X, Nina Hagen, Einsturzende Neubaten, the Meatmen, the Crucifucks, Minor Threat, MDC, the Misfits, Flipper... saw 'em all back then. Not to mention Mark Pauline's Survival Research Laboratories.

84% a child of the eighties. Yeah, I wasn't allowed to watch most tv and I never really liked Michael Jackson--his shoulder pads scared me. But I do remember Fraggle Rock, the advent of Bubble Tape, those fruit bars that tasted so good but looked so ugly, Cyndi Lauper being the coolest thing I had ever seen (or heard), when so few people had answering machines and NO ONE had cell phones so that it actually made more sense to ride your bike to your friend's house than call (in case she was already outside), those Velcro closure tennis shoes with the pockets in them, that weird period where everybody was buying the white denim clothing with the paint splattered on it, and Jellies being about as ubiquitous as are Crocs now. Yep.

Ewww🤮 my rant just reminded me of my old friend who's on my Facebook and rants all trash mouthed, nasty language,  vulgar as hell, she sounds so stupid and this is what my rant (s) is reminding me of right now. I'm cringing 😬

They pushed my orientation date back to July 13th and I'm bummed a bit. I'm really bored and need to be making money like yesterday. I'm bored, I want to move back to my old place. I fucked up. I'm the only person I know who will beat the shit out of my intuition and ignore a whole parade of red flags. I'll dance with a red flag and play stupid, pretend it's green..dumb bit...😪 ok I know I shouldn't call myself names but I'm a dumb ass bitch. Really. I just do stupid shit, let people spit on my boundaries, afraid to be labeled as a bitch to stand firm on my shit. Well, muthafuckers think I'm a bitch anyway specially when I get weird and isolate (it's actually my depression but whatever)! No means muthafucking no! I swear I'm never going to fear being labeled as a bitch again,  though..fuck it,  I'm a bitch but next time I swear to God I won't be a dumb one!!

Mostly, we're not sure if we're going to keep it and Snowbird to AZ in the Winter and come back to CO for the heat of the summer, but eventually I think we will live in AZ full time. For now the property in CO is always going up in value so the longer we hold onto it, the more it'll be worth, if we ever choose to sell.   For now we have the option to stay at her cousin's and an option to buy a chunk of the 250 acres they bought. Our ranch in CO also needs a new well - a huge investment - so we're trying to decide if we want to fix the well at a cost of 50-100k, or just buy more land from her cousin. Either way will be good, though! Pretty much can't go wrong buying land, these days. Well, depending on the area of course, but out here, land just keeps going up in price, never down , so there's that..   Also it will take years to move our ranch, if we choose to move it all. I figure at least 3 or 4 of the biggest Penske truck loads, and that's conservative and if we broke everything down into pieces and packed the trucks like Tetris 🤣
