So sunday i found out (after getting sun poisoning 3 times in 2 months) that im allergic to the sun. not like i cant go out in it but i can get burned and have a reaction if im in it unprotected for as little as 20 min. the only thing they could tell me is cover myself head to toe in clothing and wear huge hats, which is quite funny considering its. . .87 right now. so i got to thinking and decided not only would it work but be super gothy at the same time to be walking around the bible belt with a kick as parasol. sooooooo help? i dont know where to begin to look!

So you mean you are going to be pulling off this look:

Hey, a guy can dream, can't he? :)

To be honest, I think a full sized black umbrella like this picture would work. Unless you are walking around in black antebellum dresses.

LOL that looks almost identical to me 2 weeks ago at crue fest >.< minus the rain. ide rather to something more. . .bold than just an umbrella. . .i mean if im going to be walking around in the sun with an umbrella i may as well make a bold statement right lol

Try an Asian gift/grocery store... get one of those oiled paper ones. Used to have a gorgeous oiled cloth one, no idea what happened to it though.

Better yet... don't know how well that lace will actually protect against the sun... sure is sweet-looking though!

You could make one yourself. I found a link that give instructions. It might be helpful.
