...see...the point in MY MIND, would not be to necessarily TAKE the bullet...

......but to knock down as many peoples that are near & dear to me...

MY FAMILY, would get SO kung-fu-tackled onto the ground...

..but, if it was a stuck situation, I'ld take the bullet for my Son, Wife, or our sweet Girlfriend; with certainty..Other than them, I am not honor bound to save anyone else through such drastic measures...but, there is a short list of Brothers that I'ld knock over, & not care for an instant that I may catch the bullet...also, I'ld save the President, no matter whom it was, or how many differences we have.

I honestly don't think I could jump in front of a bullet for anyone cause I'd be too chicken shit but the intention would be there. But I'd definitely try to knock them down or something to help them and risk getting hit with the bullet. My family, best friends, and a few people in a few bands that I love. Two of them being wiL Francis and Craig Owens.

If it was a bullet-randomly-flying-through-the-air situation then, like Rev, I'd try to knock anyone I cared about out of harm's way.

If it was a we-are-going-to-shoot-this-person-unless-we-can-have-you-instead situation, then no one, really, unless it was my fault they got into that situation in the first place. Loved one or not, I'm not obligated to pay anyone else's moral debt. Sorry if that sounds cold or selfish, bu there you have it.

I kind of have a different take on life & death than most folks. To me, "dying for someone" is a basically selfish act... it's saying "I'd rather you live with grief and guilt the rest of your life than me". That said, I would prolly do the heroic dive in front of any of the kids in my family, and any of my students... just 'cos it would be easier than facing their parents and explaining why I stood there & let their child die.
