I have a Kenwood KR-V107R Amplifier/Receiver that has recently started to give 60Hz hums in the background, especially on the audio input jacks for the video input (DVD, VCR, BD,) part of the board. The last time this happened (about 10 years ago,) it just needed a cleaning, and some minor circuit repair. I would like to know if there is anyone in the Detroit area that specializes in home audio maintenance/cleaning.

I am particular to keep this unit, as its a unit that would take about 600+ or so just to find one equivalent to currently. Yes, I am a bit of an audiophile.

What kind of cricit repair?? you need be spesfic on this. I do this type thing besides my regluar bussines. For $25/hr. + Parts if needed.

At a guess, it is most likely dust or something causing a short to get the 60 cycles. Whether it is in the control panel's switches or the jacks themselves, I don't know.
