taysteewonderbunny Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 I'm a O47-C30-E64-A44-N60 Big Five!! I believe I'm more creative then it makes me out to be... I think you are misunderstanding the numbers. They are percentages as opposed to the whole population. You are in the 47th percentile for Openness, of which creativity is just one facet. That is, of the entire population, 53% of people are more open than are you, 47% are as open or are less open than you. In any one facet, you may far exceed the norms in the population. Likely you are a highly creative person that is perhaps also a creature of habit? Plus, this is a crude, short, rough little test to see where you self-rate in response to a few questions. Of course it isn't going to reflect the full spectrum of who you are and what you are capable of, so don't sweat it. (Although, I think I probably am near the 71st percentile for neuroticism; my generalized anxiety disorder diagnosis is no joke!)

Oh_My_Goth Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 (edited) What aspects of personality does this tell me about? There has been much research on how people describe others, and five major dimensions of human personality have been found. They are often referred to as the OCEAN model of personality, because of the acronym from the names of the five dimensions. ~Openness to Experience/Intellect High scorers tend to be original, creative, curious, complex; Low scorers tend to be conventional, down to earth, narrow interests, uncreative. You enjoy having novel experiences and seeing things in new ways. (Your percentile: 90) ~Conscientiousness High scorers tend to be reliable, well-organized, self-disciplined, careful; Low scorers tend to be disorganized, undependable, negligent. You are very well-organized, and can be relied upon. (Your percentile: 89) ~Extraversion High scorers tend to be sociable, friendly, fun loving, talkative; Low scorers tend to be introverted, reserved, inhibited, quiet. You are neither particularly social or reserved. (Your percentile: 59) ~Agreeableness High scorers tend to be good natured, sympathetic, forgiving, courteous; Low scorers tend to be critical, rude, harsh, callous. You tend to consider the feelings of others. (Your percentile: 79) ~Neuroticism High scorers tend to be nervous, high-strung, insecure, worrying; Low scorers tend to be calm, relaxed, secure, hardy. You are generally relaxed. (Your percentile: 32) I'm a O90-C89-E59-A79-N32 Big Five!! Edited December 23, 2009 by Oh_My_Goth
