Poor little thing. There actually is a specific name for that birth defect, damned if I can remember it though.

felt bad for the one in Zimbabwe (sp?)

I'm surprised that's not more common in Scotland.

Whats the difference between the Rolling Stones and a Scotsman? The rolling stones say "hey you get off my cloud" the scotsman says "Hey McCloud get off me Ewe!"

Feel bad for anyone in Zimbabwe these days.

I can't find any legitimate news source for this - any chance this is NOT a hoax (the Jan 2010 Batboy!)?

One of the Brothers said something to that effect yesterday too... :hrhr:

Legitimate news outlets tend to shy away from deformed animal-birth stories except on really slow news days. Could be a hoax, but that is an actual deformity that occurs in sheep, goats, and cattle.

Is there any source about it? The deformity?

Well that is strange...and kinda funny...but then the scottish jokes had to go and offend me...but they were different than the old "haha look how hairy you are" scottish jokes...

Yeah... can't remember right offhand... I just have an interest in that kind of stuff so I tend to run across that kind of thing. I will poke around a bit when I have time later this evening.

Good search start would be "ovine facial deformity" or "caprine facial deformity"

Wouldn't it be funny if god were trying to say.... You silly humans aren't so special!

Just typing a thought. Don't go all bananas over it.... It was just the thing that popped in my head.

I dunno....

It looks kinda phony to me.

OK... it's called holoprosencephaly... specifically agnathia-holoprosencephaly. Here is a Chinese piglet with the same type of deformity. One of a group of facial/brain defects caused by a wack sonic hedgehog protein. Interesting discussion of sonic hedgehog-related deformities in kittens here (warning: lots of pix of hideously deformed kittens... worse the farther down the page you go).
