Fierce Critter Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 A good, entertaining bit of brain candy. Recommended for fun. I did see the original, and liked both films. This is a comedic turn on the story. There was on element I didn't like - period. Had this been a more serious film, I would complain about it more. But since it was a comedy and I'm pretty good at suspending my disbelief, I'll let it slide. I like to avoid spoilers, so I'll post about that further down my post with warning. So the explanation for how the women are controlled is several silicon chips are implanted in their brains. Then, what's the deal with the look-alike robotic shells? They make NO sense whatsoever. You'd have to think then that the "real" women are killed or kept locked up somewhere. And how to explain the instant change of hairdos? While it's easy for me to suspend disbelief for movies, these two things bugged the crap out of me.

I thought the same thing about the shell thing, but then I thought --- it must be some sort of shell like a giant corset that fits over the body to totally reshape it. Otherwise how would those boobs have grown by remote control like that?

They show Faith Hill's character USED AS AN ATM MACHINE. AND she broke down at the Square Dance. No silcon chip can do that. There was a thing on VH1 about movie flubs, that movie and the plot craters were mentioned.
