Here we can talk about that certain movie genre that is so wide and wierd. As well as give recs to movies other people should check out!

And his Greaser's Palace is something - almost like an English-language El Topo but with Jesus.

What else? Films by Godard? Fellini? Truffaut? Wim Wenders? What I think when I see "art-house".

Fantastic Planet- French-Czech animated sci fi from the early '70s. Gorgeous trippy art, holds up amazingly well for its age.

Onibaba- Japanese weirdness with plenty of deceit, lust, madness and murder.

Querelle- Fassbinder does Jean Genet. Sailors and French thugs do each other.
