Wow. Such rancor. It makes me a bit sad to think people are so miserable as to see a creator as one who creates misery, rather than one who helps in sometimes unseeable ways.

But that's leading toward an off-topic discussion. So, as to the topic...

I'd probably tell him/her/it to fuck off and yeah... thats about it. All the pain and suffering on this planet and none of it really needs to exist. Or maybe the allmighty isn't that powerful after all.

Yeah, this will probably be moved to the Politics/religion forum.

But following that train of thought... I still can't help but believe that whatever creator exists gave us this world as a gift, and then stood back and said, "I'm hands-off now - it's up to you to take care of the world and each other."

I just don't believe in a creator that would move people around like pawns and pieces in a game. I fully believe the ills of this world are created by man, and inflicted by men upon each other and the world around them.

If anything, I can envision a creator who does step in once in a while and help. But I just feel that blaming a creator/god/whathaveyou for the world's ills is letting humans off the hook far, far too easily.
