TheGimp Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/36032653/ns/today-today_health/?gt1=43001 this story is just incredible to show how far we have come in the medical field its crazy...I'm glad this little girl is a lot better
taysteewonderbunny Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 That reminds me of an episode of House, actually. The one entitled "Half-Wit" where a piano prodigy whose talent to exactly duplicate on the piano music he has heard freakishly developed after a car accident (not all great--he was otherwise severely retarded), but whose ability suddenly starts deteriorating as debilitating seizures develop. The patient in the show undergoes the same procedure as the girl in the article you cited and has (half) his motor function AND (weirdly) speech function restored.
candyman Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Wow...that is amazing. Also, she has a nice head start on the people in D.C....she would be a nice addition to the House or maybe Congress...maybe even a spot on the Cabinet.
