Anyone else really into cryptids? Bigfoot, Nessy, all of that stuff, do you believe in it, think its stupid? what are your thought?

I think that in rare cases, there may exist animals yet to have been classified by zoologists, and some of the reports are mostly true. I think a larger part of it is confabulation, however. Nonetheless, it's fun the way astrology is fun.

Nonetheless, it's fun the way astrology is fun. Except for the toenail biting hobgoblins in my closet; thus far, I've determined those guys are resistant to both cyanide and napalm.

Eh..See I think Astrology is ridiculous, especially since it doesnt work because the stars are in constant motion and most people arent the sign that they blieve themselves to be...because they werent born when the system was created.

I know its silly because I believe in a number of cryptids. going off track...

So what cryptids do you think may or may not exist?

I'm a firm believer that the "Unearthly" variety of cryptids exist. Beings that can mimic the human body...blend in to vast societies unnoticed by the casual passerby. There is something odd about them (physical or otherwise), but for the most part, humans just shrug their shoulders and move on.

Eh..See I think Astrology is ridiculous, especially since it doesnt work because the stars are in constant motion and most people arent the sign that they blieve themselves to be...because they werent born when the system was created.

that's why there are "progressed" charts, based on the stars' current locations in the heavens...

and yes, i think some are possible - i mean, we're still finding things we didn't know existed...

Lizardmen *nods* (first thing that popped into my head). That may be overly simplistic, but I'm having trouble finding examples of "species" of this particular cryptid. The ability to fade out of the foreground (i.e. manipulation of pigment). It doesn't have to be full on chameleon, either...just a little tweeking of the skin palette to a hue less noticeable.

I don't see why it wouldn't; It passed through my own while I was trying to get a more specific example. Then again, I had to go and pick the obscure lot of cryptids.

P.S. Fun has to be "made", it won't fall from the sky on its own.

Yes, yes, I'm sorry. I should have been more specific. I meant that there are few that correlate with local lore of the sort that might get reported in "Weekly World News." That gigantic squid thing was one. The giant rats were another. But the tiny species of salamander, the newly discovered ant species, etc. don't get as much popular press.

I used to be really into these sort of stories. When I was younger I'd always look into things like BigFoot, the Yeti, the Loch Ness Monster, El Chupacabra, the Jersey Devil, etc.

Its not as though I truly believe in them...but I still get freaked out when reading up or researching them.
