By using your body, modifying your body, you can go into [different] states of consciousness and discover the true nature of life and yourself.

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.

Suspension is freedom. It involves the act of letting go, of becoming one with the pain, and using it as a portal to go beyond what we typically think are the limits of our minds and bodies. For some people, indulging in ice cream, or fancy cars makes them feel free and like a kid again. For me, its when I’m swinging from a couple of hooks in my back. Though I have been fascinated with the act of suspension since childhood, I have only recently been able to cross over into the actual experience of it. My first time up, when I closed my eyes, I actually felt like I was flying. Phenomenal!

So how can I learn more, and possibly do suspension, you say? I’m so glad you asked! We are lucky to have a wonderful group of people in our area who practice together under the name, Ritual Arisings. I have been to a couple of events thus far, and have a blast each time I go. I would love it if more of my friends could come and experience this with me. There is a fee for each type of suspension, but let me tell you, its bloody worth it! These guys/gals put their hearts and souls into this, and do it because they love it. The hooks, equipment, and other materials get expensive, so they have to charge. I have seen people charge more for way less. At the last event I attended, there was even someone who drove here from Chicago just to get on some hooks from Ritual!

Please go to their MySpace and Facebook sites listed below, and “friends request” them if you are interested. They hold monthly events, which are for actual participants only. You are allowed to bring a friend for support if you are hanging, but as these events are not shows and held at private residences, they don’t want it turning into a big party hardy event.

The next event is actually Sunday, June 27th, so if you’re interested, get moving on the friends requests! I’ll be there for sure!

All private Ritual events are held in the area, so you will never have far to go. I will keep posting the new dates as they happen.

I hope to see you at the next event!

You know...these activities, are just as addictive as hard-drugs...I have seen many kiddz go 'over the deep end' doing this...just saying...

ALSO...public view, is not the BEST place to 'hang out' & pray...just sayin'...

Agreed. It's certainly not my ideal place to hang, like in the desert, or in the middle of a forest where I could commune easier with the world, but its where its available. Everyone has their own addictions in life, food, sex, comic books, drinking, drugs, exercise, etc. People who are going to go over the deep end, are going to do it no matter what. For me, I enjoy hanging out with the people who go, and the experience is uplifting all around. lol People go to church to pray, and "practice." When I do this for meself, I'm practicing, in a way, for other things in my life, and when I do get to that point where I can have the experience of hanging surrounded by Mother Nature, I will be in good practice, and actually know what to do with the experience. **insert suspended smiley here**

I know the feeling! So get this, when I was stuck in ABQ I decided to re-activate my phone. Now, for years I have been running a Straight Talk Mobile Hotspot for wifi instead of paying for actual phone service, because I get more data for 50 bucks on the wifi plan than I would get for the same price for my phone plan, and I don't call anybody very often if ever, so it only made sense. Well while I was in ABQ I got desperate and decided I needed to make some phone calls so I walked down to Walmart to get a  45 dollar plan for my phone, only to realize that I had to walk back to walmart again (4 miles one way) to get a new Sim card, because the one I had was too old, apparently...  Anyway, literally the second I reactivate my phone - I got a phone call from a frickin' debt collector!  I mean it was so instantaneous that I assimed it was Straight Talk calling to confirm my activation or something - instead it was somebody with a foreign accent that I could barely understand, asking for whoever the person was that previously had the phone number I had just been assigned. . . I was so irritated with this fact.    And yeah now I'm getting multiple calls, daily, from everybody and their brother, looking for whoever the person was that used to have this number.  Wells Fargo, AT&T, etc etc.    I think there needs to be some better way of doing this. Recycling phone numbers as fast as we do this day & age isn't working out very well. 🤷

I have no idea why I'm even on all of these call lists that are on Robo-Dial by A.I.  One is a female voice and the other is a male voice and all they did was change the name that they give you.  I did get put through to a few live people to try to ask them to remove me from their list, but they, the telemarketer, hung up on me.   It's like I'm living "Telemarketers Revenge" for all the years of people handing up on them.   I always spoke with the telemarketer and then wished them a good day before hanging up.  And this is what I get for all of my decades of kindness.  I don't think I deserve this, but the World has lost a lot of the niceties that it used to have when I was growing up.  And no...COVID did not cause this.  I'm also getting tired of that excuse.  Its been 6 years!  People felt they were given the Green Light to be anti-social and rude to your face and now it is part of society just like everything else Mainstream adopts and considers it a cultural add-on.   I just hope I can survive this onslaught of calls blowing up my phone until it dies down.  Else, I will place a block on my number and only allow calls from family, friends and medical associated with my job.

This is crazy.   I had to mute my phone because I am getting 50+ calls a day regarding Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Burial Benefits, a Senior Food Expense Card, a Senior Social Security monthly reimbursement benefit, etc., and I don't qualify for any of it.  I don't even meet the age requirement.   At current, I have 53 missed calls and 38 of them were from yesterday.
