Kind of reminds me of that one short story...uhhhh, what was it called?

About the old lady who lived cooped up in her house and after she died they went inside her house and discovered the dead body of a past lover in a bed with some of the old lady's grey hairs on the pillow next to the body.

I just wonder how they dealt with the smell for the first couple of years. I mean unless they embalmed him or some shit he had to reek. "Mommy what's that smell?" .. "Oh, Grandpa doesn't like to take showers anymore, honey"
