And for those who need a rest from (or don't care for) retro, DJ Elektrosonik and Dj Saint will be spinning in the main room...

Whatever your taste, good music all night long....

I'm so sad you guys are doing this every other weekend. I went to City last weekend and I'm going next weekend but can't tomorrow. Woe is me!

Im talking about YOU (you being the Detroit "goth/industrial" scene)not going out anywhere but City Club and Necto, and not supporting other nights that cater to you, resulting in them closing. And then you complain about stuff not happening often. Several bars have hosts several club nights themed at "goth/industrial" some of them even having DJ's from City Club as the residents. Buuuuut you people cant defer from the norm and thus everything stays the same...

And on a personal note "Retro nights" dont need to happen often because the music is OLD and has been played to death, unless you try to play unheard stuff, which is rare. Dont get me wrong, I love bauhaus, Joy Division, Fron 242 ect. But they have been out sinse before I was born, ill listen to them on my Ipod, not at the bar, at least not often. Id rather hear be exposed to newer stuff like Feeding Fingers, Blessure Grave, White Car ect. When I DJ, I try to play more new than old, showing people new stuff keeps things from getting stagnant. And there is stuff out there that sounds like the oldies -_-

I am not bashing RIP, CC, Necto or any club night, just saying what people should already know. I like the night and will continue to support RIP,as its the only place you are going to hear consistent "Goth" music. And I will continue to support the scene when I can.

Tonight should be a lot of fun. I just spoke with Thanatos and the Bowling Green crew. Not only are they good people who are eager to play your requests, they are great DJ's as well. If you get a chance to go down to Bowling Green on Wednesdays for their Rewired night, check it out.

See you in the ballroom!
