Hellion Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 :devil I Really hate when I go grocery shopping or go to a resturaunt; even the doctors office. Its always muzak and their songs suck. I worked at Kroger part time awhile ago and I developed a severe hatred towards muzak. Every song just about was either hiphop or country or worse yet; most of the time doctors office music! What I did't like is I could'nt wear headphones. What I found out that in Europe because a couple of my friends went there; is that they play stuff like SLAYER; PANTERA;AND BLACK SABBATH. more real music than BS. down with muzak!!
Homicidalheathen Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Yah it's like rock and roll blasphomy hearing all my old fav's turned into crap like that. Makes me want to pull out a semi-auto and shoot up the speakers. :devil I Really hate when I go grocery shopping or go to a resturaunt; even the doctors office. Its always muzak and their songs suck. SaGa Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 ahh metal was more of a european thing... but also metal was meant to be unpopular to the masses. anyways most kids who listen to korn or slipknot either find out something better. or quit liking metal... radio basicly has given a bad rep for music in general
mallochai Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Well, yes, Muzak in the sense of actual lyric sung songs changed into instrumentals and made more "easy listening friendly" is quite horrendous. However, Muzak also does satellite stations. We have that kind of system where I work, and it actually gets some decent stuff. Nothing cool like synthpop or goth, but we get some good modern stuff alternative stuff (though still pop) and some really awesome blues and jazz stations. Not all muzak related stuff is pure unadulterated evil juice.
