New city but not a new member :)

I've been on this forum for a few years. I recently moved to Columbus, OH and I've been trying to get into the scene down here a bit. I attended one "goth rave" and in the process, got ripped off due to being given something...fake...and stranded. Everyone seemed "out for themselves" so to speak and the atmosphere seemed so hurried and almost annoying.

Obviously, this is a Detroit site but I've noted that there are people from other cities SO, anyone have any good tips for me?

Ination and Dystopia are probably the biggest hang out spots.

No I just try and keep myself familiar with the midwest goth/industrial scene.
