Leland City Club

400 Bagley Street

Downtown Detroit

You enter by going through an unmarked door on the First Street side of The Leland Hotel building just before the gated parking area on the side of the building nearest 1st Street. The club is at the top of the stairwell. (see picture in the link above in the DGN calendar entry)

All are welcome. Come meet some of us weirdos.

Saturday nights from 10:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Alcoholic drinks until 2:00 a.m., pop and juices served all night.

Admission is $4

18 and up, 21 to drink with proper ID (no exceptions).

No drugs, weapons, chains or spikes.

area. Not the same as the old DGN corner but it seems like a better choice than the more "hideout" spot , plus you can actually see the dance floor where many people just plant themselves and we'd never even see in the other location. Granted I haven't been out of the cave in a LONG time so the floorplan might not even look like this anymore.

I'm going. Unless the rust molecules holding hands (aka my car) breaks down or some massive health-thing hits me I'm gonna drag my corpse down there. Hopefully on a regular basis. Just have to be careful and juggle a lot of different things.

Will have to scout the place out and decide on were the "DGN corner" should be , not sure if the old location is still suitable (or if it ever was) a bit too out of the way.

I'll have the last of the DGN cards with me (until we get more) if anyone wants to help get the word out, get a hold of me before I go in (i always have like a 40 minute warm up period outside, and its hard to haul many cards in with me) Also should have DGN bumper stickers in the car if you want one/two of them Just gotta promise to take a picture and post it in the bumper sticker thread. Hopefully soon I'll do a soft-reboot of the DGN street team at some point soon.

Just look for the idiot that thought he'd save some money on a haircut and apparently had a weedwacker attack him and cut it all off (and has gained about 500 lbs)

Yeah its probably been at least 2 years since "the dgn corner" was actually in-force. I got sick and went to the hospital , then things just sort of went downhill. Was a time when the bouncers would have to come and tell us to move 2-3X a night due to there being too many DGNers crowded around that area.

Probably take 3 months of consistantly going there to "Rebuild" that (along with promotion) its almost like a job. Hope to see you.

"us all" could just be like 2 people, but I'm pretty good conversation as long as my energy level isnt shot (read: troy needs to drink water at the humid-as-waterfall-place) or at least I will if its the same as it used to be.

I usually get there early like 10:30 (even earlier sometimes) and hang out outside in my car getting umm.. aclimated. Its hard to carry in a whole bunch of stuff in my pockets, maybe shoot me a text message / call me (number listed above) (or pm me with info) and I'll just let u know when im there and you can just come over and get it or i can walk to you (same goes for anyone reading this)

I sort of usually have a mini pre-party / clamdown period after the (for me) stressful drive down there with a small group before i head in at like 11:30 or so.

Might also have to hit u up to help pass out a few DGN cards if your up for it.

That's what we have them for! I just spent like an hour editing the last of what I call the "ghetto" cards with a black marker (they had a tag line on them that I didn't like) takes forever.

The current ones look like this:

(Minus that stupid "naughty but nice" line... as i just slave-labored them all off.

The "invited by" thing is there if you want to put your name down (i'd suggest it) and also so when people sign up , them that are on the (currently in the process of getting re-settup) street team can have their number of refferals counted / get credit for it. (thats what the black / gray "Crest" symbol with the number 5 is on my profile.) Although that's not all ready for prime time just yet. No need to be on the Street Team (or even understand what I'm talking about).

Need to order soom new cards soon almost out of these (which is a good thing).

Just shoot me a phone call or a txt message sometime between now and say 9-10pm Saturday so i can tell u were I'm at. (better to do it before u leave the house so if you got the number wrong you can re-check it) I'll have a few DGN cards on me in the club, but basically just enough for me to pass out and maybe a few extra, just to hard to stuff all that crap in my pockets.
