The folks at EA/BioWare sent out an email yesterday outlining that their older Neverwinter Nights forums had been hacked, with a fair amount of user information stolen from the database — the likes of user names, encrypted passwords, email addresses, mailing addresses, names, phone numbers, CD keys and birth dates. They do go on to say that 'no credit card data was compromised from the servers, nor did we ever have or store sensitive data like social security numbers.' There's no pointing of fingers as to who might have done the compromising, though."

I was on them there forums! Why god why! Now they'll know that Lord Mastermind was really Troy at 36504 Fairchild Westland Michgian 48186... oh wait...

Seriously though I used to play the original NWN (and made modules) , even had my own dedicated server... ah good times.

I used to play and was working on a module as well, but never did complete it.

Kind of curious if the break in will have any negative effect on the currently being worked on NeverWinter.

Either Lulzsec or Anon strikes again. I'm betting Anon because of the style of it, but then again Lulzsec seems to have been moving away from doing it just for the lulz and actually compromising real information, much like they did to the Arizona database recently.
