Troy Spiral (13) Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Happy 4th of July Everyone =) (One of the few holidays I'm actually on board with the historical siginficance of hah)
Class-Punk Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 (edited) I'm often holiday indifferent, this time beyond that. Got some bad news today and lost a friend I knew from High School. I'm just gonna try to chill and be hermetic. Edited July 4, 2011 by Coffeenated
candyman Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 (edited) I am a soldier of the United States Army trusted to protect our country in any way that it asks...and they only trust me with sparklers and snakes...bunch of assholes! Edited July 5, 2011 by candyman
StormKnight (1) Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 They have been blowing off M-80s and other fun types of boom devices here for the last two weeks. I can hear the sirens for the ambulances for the blown off body parts now.
Troy Spiral (13) Posted July 5, 2011 Author Posted July 5, 2011 I don't really like "most" holidays, (more for emotional reasons than for anything tangible) but this is a good one I think. The first "real" large-scale democratic experiment that worked, good for us Americans and generally good for the world to have a democratic-republic model that actually functions and got rid of monarchy/aristocracy in much of the world by example over time. Flaws? Sure. But dammit, it IS a very positive thing. Yay. Also despite my bias toward pointing out flaws in america, I do love the USA despite its flaws. =) Plus I've sota gone to my happy place about holidays despite their (mostly) misguided origins (or misunderstanding of their origins) an excuse to wish people positive vibes? hard to be to negative about that.

Too many words...not enough blowing crap up with colorful explosives that are pretty dangerous......now go celebrate by blowing up squirrels with celebration crackers!
