i get compliments from my boyfriend, but that's a given. he's always trying to cheer me up.

my boobs get a lot of attention, even when i don't want it.

most people just like my personality, and i get complimented a lot on how i'm "such a nice person." nice?... that's it?

my "smile" get some attention as well.. i've been told i have vampire teeth... not like i go and put teeth in my head, but just the way they naturally look get's people's attention.

Ditto... I've spent so much of my life being told I was ugly/fat/etc while growing up, mostly from my own family or school kids, that I really struggle to feel attractive.

Most people compliment my style or mind - not my appearance... which  I do appreciate *though there is always that shallow part that wishes I was riveting*

People have told me I was funny and I make them laugh. I like that too if I can make someone laugh. but i have also been told that i am not funny at all - so i guess it depends on who you ask

I like compliments about me that reflect on how I make OTHER people feel. (like the hugs or being funny or how I listen to them as just a few examples) I really don't like compliments about me that only have to do with me or something I can't help (like looks or something that I can't exactly control). I generally don't believe those types of comments anyways

Although I like compliments about my looks, I find them a little tough to believe, even though I know I'm not ugly.

When I was a kid, my sister was VERY popular and kids used to ask me mean things like "Are you adopted?" She also would say some pretty nasty stuff to me.

(It wasnt until years later when I realized what a fake bitch she was, that I could truly view being adopted as a compliment)

It was so bad that when I was in junior high, I saw this enormous woman (600/700 lbs) go on Oprah saying she never had a date in her life, and I said to my TV, "That'll be me"

My Grandpa was the sweetest man on the planet who always listened and never judged and although, due to my horrid personality flaws,

I could never be the man he was,

he'll always be my idol.

Later, I pondered how anyone could compare this man to me, and I realized it's because my speech was (vaguely) reminiscent of that man's gentle heart...

a heart that everyone who touched it could feel as if he loved them his entire life.

I miss him sooo much.

OK, now I'm really crying.
