I would love to meet up with everyone. I'm also looking forward to maybe trying the feast this year. I'm thinking I might be going opening weekend because that is right before my fall classes start. But if you all want to meet up another weekend I'll try to go to that one too.

Bah! I rarely ever wear garb to RenFest. I've worked at both MIRF and SLRF enough that my opinion is, if I'm just visiting as a patron, I'll be wearing street clothes. I'm only in garb if I'm getting paid to be there. Especially since if I'm in garb and a fan sees me, then I might be expected to perform, and I don't perform without $$. And you can't solicit money unless you are a performer paid to be there. So I just wear street clothes. It's less messy, more comfortable, etc.

P.S. - Most performers make fun of about 90% of the garb anyway for anachronisms or just plain stupidity.

I know the issue. I don't think I've gone to that extreme, but last year I think I spent between $100-$200. This year I'm trying to keep it simple at food, underbust corset, a trinket or two. You should still go though. We can try not to spend money together

Looking at our schedule, it looks like we'll be going on Sept. 24th this year. I'm hoping my little bro will be able to show up, too. He still lives in my hometown of Adrian with my mom (he's only 18), so it is my mission to get that boy out and about to live a little.

Anyone want to meet us up there that day??
