OMG, I just want to dance to this song!

I am not a dancer but this song does get me dancing (in my room where no one can see me---since I am shy). What song(s) make you want to get up and dance? I only do it for exercise---it's a good workout regimen.

I LOVE Oomph! !

Another song I like to dance to is "Death fuck" by Terminal Choice (project of Blutengel's lead singer). This song is dark and brings out my inner-goth. I love strong drum/drum machine sounds. In the old days "Train in vain" by the Clash got me up and dancing....

And yes one more makes me want to get up and dance. This one is not one of my typical German bands, it's the Aussie boys Pseudo Echo doing "Funky town". The beat just makes me want to dance :happydance

I love the air base. This always reminded me of white boys doing Time-like music. These Aussie lads--Wa Wa Nee--really do sound funky like the Time. And I was quite a funky chick in 1981-84 or so when gothicness took me over. :happydance

Everybody dance now.

Thanks for adding a comment Nocker. I really get into the drums and always wished I could play the drums (for real, not just faking it like I did in grade school). This one gets me going also. Andre Cymone.

Dancing is good exercise but the song has to inspire me or have a great (drum, etc) beat:

I love to dance, its the only reason I really go to bars/clubs. Im not much for the people. So it doesnt take much for me to get moving as long as its some form of darker tinged music.

Nocker, is this band still around? Executive Slacks---yes, an Amiercn band for once!

Methinks you'd like this one! I have this album, yes, vinyl stuff.

LoL, I love Executive Slacks, I have thrown them down a couple of time at "Industrial Wednesdays" and at "Something Cold". I dont think they have done anything since the early 90's though.

Since it is your profession I should have figured you knew them. I believe they are from PA. The drums are sooooo great in all their music. I was very proud of the Ami bands and local stuff in those days and traded music tapes (yes, kids before cd's there was a magical tape which stored music on it) with pen pals.....

Scottish Pirate Metal makes me want to learn how to do a jig, then add a headbang. Of course I'll look like a retarded monkey dancing like that, but it'll be fun

thanks for sharing, Harlequinn

Athan Maroulis went on from the Slacks to later form Fahrenheit 451, TubalCain and eventually much success with Spahn Ranch (The LA Based one, not the old Detroit band)

Yes, yet more Oomph! Sorry, but this guitar work really is amazing to me!! And I usually go for the great drum beats such as "Der Neue Gott".

Project Pitchfork. He keeps reminding me more and more of Ogre in voice, looks (from afar) and interests (animal/earth rights)............

Another Project Pitchfork tune:

Yes, more Kraut rock. Do you expect anything else from me, Troy? I was this bad with Canuck music in the 80's and was known all over CBC radio as the #1 Ami fan of Canadian music.

Eisbrecher this time. Great dance tune. Many of theirs are IMO.

Why Eisbrecher gets so much attention and In Strict Confidence doesn't is a shame....

Marc,

I have been out of the music thing for years so I am getting back into it. I used to buy 1-2 albums per month at the very least. I have not bought more than 5 cd's in years. can't get into it. but a lot of people disappeared on me (death and moving). so, i like to hear all this "new" (to me) music. i am not into Rammstein because everyone else likes them (and their videos are too graphic for me). I was into swashbuckler movies as a 4 year old--vampire movies also. so, i am almost ashamed to admit up to liking these things also. i hate when stuff i like goes trendy. even my kitty is the most unique breed in USA (well, top 2-3) and i just like all things alternative (food, music, pets).

i like your song you posted very much! danke schoen. merci.

Down Below (yessss, more Kraut rock, do you honestly expect anything else from me?)

lately the url's i've been posting have not been showing up (protected and now allowed to be shared). what's up with that? this happened with the Rankin Family the other day. 3rd vid attempt. i can't play anymore with this. what is going on with url's?

i had chosen "Private soul security" by Down Below but url's are not posting the vids. thus, this song is not a dance song but it's the same band....

Combichrist: Without emotions

These 2 kids dancing are so damn adorable. I really like this video. Someone called it "goth aerobics" and I just loved that remark.

Some really good songs you guys (and dolls) are adding here. I like them all. I must admit that I REALLY like the In strict confidence song!

I'll be using some of these songs for my "goth aerobics" where I use my drum sticks and pretend I can play the drums. Damn, I wish!!
