here's some music to put all of you lucky people who are going to the pirate days Renaissance festival into the mood. Show us your favourte sea chanty.

I've been a big fan of The Rankin Family for about 20 years now. One of the brothers died when his car skid off the road (bag of salt was left on the road) and his son and son's friend lived but he died. So, many of their songs do make me sad. This is one of their happy songs and many are chanty's which you can get up and do a jig to.

We went for the Pirate weekend a few weeks ago. Would have been cool but it thunder stormed most of the time we were there so it pretty much sucked:(

thanks for your responses to this thread. i like these songs! i have loved old sea chanty songs for so long so these are really cool. I really liked the Floggy Molly song.
