I'm booking my hotel this Friday. :woot: I'm really having a hard time picking, and it's pissing me off. The Westin is a four-starrr hotel, sickeningly stunning and convenient to the airport. The Ponchartrain is central to everything, and I know that I want to go to Greektown and the thrift stores, and whatever else I can get into.

Please help me. It's been narrowed down to these 2. And I really need to be near a Taco Bell.

yeah, there are quite a few good restaurants just outside your door if you're at the Ponch and the one at the Ponch is really good too. There's a great music venue across the street from there and you can walk from there to Greektown or the Museums or even City Club (I walked from that area to City Club last Friday).

Don't worry, one of us will take you out for Taco Bell, no matter where you're staying.

The Ponch is in the lead......

Are there any good tattoo studios nearby?

Posted

not really, you'd have to get a ride into the burbs, mostly.

Eternal Tattoos, just a couple miles down Woodward. I've heard really good things about that place.

Unfortunately, to my knowledge there are no Taco Bell's actually IN Detroit. There aren't a lot of fast food places, period, IN Detroit. But the burbs aren't far away.

Dude, there are Taco Bells IN Detroit. At least two that I know of, one of which is totally scary and gross-looking.

Eh, well I always think of the area of Downtown and WSU campus area of being the city.

There's none in that area. And none by the Ponch.

But where are the two you're talking about?

The 'burbs being where?

Posted

10 to 15 minutes in any direction from the Ponch. :wink

Was thinking a nice quiet time alone with some wine and my wang.

Posted

The wine is great, but I cannot touch your wang. I'm sure that it is a lovely wang, though.

So.....

Is the Ponch decent?
