The Ramada is out. I'm beginning to think that the Westin will be the best place. I don't need to get mugged while I'm checking shit out.

Eh, well I always think of the area of Downtown and WSU campus area of being the city.

There's none in that area.  And none by the Ponch.

But where are the two you're talking about?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

But, there's a Taco Bell Express on the WSU campus. There's also (a really gross one; it's part Taco Bell, part KFC) on Fort Street, and there's another on Grand Blvd. and some street I can't recall. And I know there are others, I just can't think of them at the moment.

(Sorry, Brenda! Eh, stay at the Ponch. The area is no rougher than the area around CC and I'd probably trust it more)

At the airport? Are you serious?? The airport really isn't even in the Detroit metro area. Without traffic, it'll take you 30 min to get downtown. And there's been constant, terrible construction on 94 lately so I really don't recommend staying way out there. There is NOTHING in the area. The airport is out in nothingness.

Hmm, I haven't heard of the Ponchartrain, but the map says I run by it all the time. I'd suggest staying there, personally. I know my parents have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn on Brush a few times and it's fine. Includes breakfast too.

If you stay downtown, you're only about a mile away from me so I could probably give you a ride places or whatever

Seriously. If you want to do things in Detroit on a 2-night stay, STAY in DETROIT.

Stay at the Ponch, Brenda. You're not going to be spending much time at the hotel room anyway, you know?

I'm from Downriver, not far from the airport. It'd be a really, really bad move in my opinion to stay that far from what you want to be doing. Not to mention the constant plane flight right overhead.

You may be right, FC. And I DO plan on sleeping, no matter what anyone says.

For Taco Bells...I know of one on Harper @ Whittier in Det, so that makes 3.

      Mostly, we're not sure if we're going to keep it and Snowbird to AZ in the Winter and come back to CO for the heat of the summer, but eventually I think we will live in AZ full time. For now the property in CO is always going up in value so the longer we hold onto it, the more it'll be worth, if we ever choose to sell.   For now we have the option to stay at her cousin's and an option to buy a chunk of the 250 acres they bought. Our ranch in CO also needs a new well - a huge investment - so we're trying to decide if we want to fix the well at a cost of 50-100k, or just buy more land from her cousin. Either way will be good, though! Pretty much can't go wrong buying land, these days. Well, depending on the area of course, but out here, land just keeps going up in price, never down , so there's that..   Also it will take years to move our ranch, if we choose to move it all. I figure at least 3 or 4 of the biggest Penske truck loads, and that's conservative and if we broke everything down into pieces and packed the trucks like Tetris 🤣

      ~~~~~ Wow.  I hope that works out for you.  Will you be moving your ranch there?
