Kiss The Midget Posted June 30, 2005 Author Posted June 30, 2005 35 years is the longest... most of my good friends that are close about about 20 years. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 35 years, wow i know that feeling...shhhhhhh
The_Dark Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 We are only as old as we feel. How we feel in that first half hour of the day, before the coffee and shower, doesn't count.
LadyWindstone Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 My longest friendship is 19 years long and still going. We get to talk about once in a blue moon cause she lives in Auburn Hills and I live in warren without a car. She also has two kids and is married. I don't have either. oh well i still love her like a sister.
Aralis Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 My best friend and I have been friends for 15 years! We met in 7-8th grade! My husband and I have been friends for about 6-7 years.
TomCat Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 I have (2) 31+ year friendships and about 15 that are substantial enough to mention that are 15+ years. I'm a keeper, as far as friendship is concerned. Otherwise, forgetaboutit! LOL
Fierce Critter Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 I'm so envious of you people. I mean, I know I sucked as a friend when a lot of people were making lifelong friends - early teens, etc. I was possessive, and demanding. Like I said, learned my lesson and learned how to accept people, warts and all. Just too damned late in life. :( It's weird. I don't like people on the whole. But still, I wish I had "old" friends. Confusicating.
JaneDead Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 oh i forgot about my husband i have known him since i first turned 16. so about sometime this summer i will have known him for 15 years.
Scary Guy Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 My current best friend for about 3 years Ever... about the 8th grade. Though I rarely talk to him anymore but I hear from him now and again. I'm kind of a loner if you haven't noticed.
JaneDead Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 i have actually *known* people for over 30 years, but don't see them often or really know much about their every day life... but i will say my husband - 15 years because he is in my life 24/7. another friend i have i have known since about '82 or '83 but i hardly see or talk to her and same goes with other long term friends i have.
Guest Game of Chance Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 My boy Nate V (for those of you who know him), we've been friends and punk rock trouble makers for 15 years...lol rumor has it that the kids in the neighborhood we grew up in still talk about our exploits :grin Sybil is the only one on the board who knew us back then lol that reminds me...i have to bring up that time when we were 16 and convinced that girl that we were vampires, for real :laughing

DarkVampire Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 18-19 years I think. I known him since 1st grade. He was my best friend than we went our seperate ways. My current best friend, I've known her for close to 3 years. Unfortunately that's all we'll be is just friends. My luck I guess.
capuchin Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 I moved around the whole time I was growing up (13 different schools) and have moved around a lot as an adult as well, so it's been hard to stay in touch. My oldest friend is probably my older brother's best friend from childhood, and I've known him for about 27 years. (Although we became friends in our own right--not just that "sibling's friend" deal-- when we both wound up in Austin at the same time) After that it would be my friends Nate and Kelli, both from Tucson, and we've been friends for ten years...
