Some may have noticed that DGN was down for awhile. The reason I was given from our web host was that we were "over our alotted useage" , but that doesnt jive with the actual observed activity on the board. Some Chinese search engine's "web spider" (the sort of thing Google uses to find out what is on the internet) was , for whatever reason, spidering the hell out of DGN causing use to suck down huge amounts of bandwidth. IPS (our hosting company) in its infinate wisdom just took the site offline with no warning, until i complained like a nutcase about how silly it was. After they looked into it they realized the above (rather than us all the sudden having 100,000 raging users) and made a technical change which apparently fixed the problem.

I figured the site was being DOSed and eventually DDOSed, good to know this wasn't the case.
