Do you actually look at the 10 random images at the bottom of the board, or is it just sucking down bandwidth for you?

hah.

It doesn't really gobble up much bandwidth, but it is fairly significant over time, just wondering how many people find it interesting or if it should stay or not.

i like it, but if it's eating up *any* extra band width, i'd say temporarily remove it until traffic picks up again, at least if it will save us some money...

That's sort of a gray area, since the next package down to save us money , runs the risk of taking us offline many times a month, as its so close to how much total we use (even with some cuts in our content), going offline for any significant period of time is probably the thing that hurts activity the most, as most articles will tell you being offline is THE way to lose users/members) to be realistic we'd have to get rid of several things which I'm seriously considering, just the photo strip wont save us any money per se as just by itself it doesnt eat up any "money" just uses what we are already paying for, but that added with several other things being removed it would save us some money, but I'm concerned that taking THAT much away from DGN (like 90% of the post history, and the picture gallery completely) might make it hard for us to get back to the activity level we are trying to get to. God damn I'm so angry I cant get better enough to go back to work (tried four times , and twice part time) this wouldn't even be an issue grrr.

Save money by cutting back = good, cutting back = activity level never picks back up due to lack of interest because there's not much to see = bad. Its sort of a catch 22.
