[07/02, Sat.] at TasteFest

OK I don't expect anyone to make a special trip, but if anyone happens to be at TasteFest down in the New Center at 6:00 Saturday, my brother Alvin Waddles will be performing a tribute to Fats Waller. He will be playing piano and singing in the style of Fats himself, & will be accompanied by two other musicians whose names I can't recall... Marian something or other on double bass, & some guy on guitar I think. Alvin is a really, really talented musician & is very well known in Detroit gospel & classical music circles. He was invited to perform at TasteFest after an organizer saw him do the Fats Waller tribute at another event. So anyway, if anyone is planning to hit TasteFest this will definitely be worth seeing... I haven't caught the Fats tribute but I hear it's wicked cool (not just from my mother, either haha).
