I'm glad someone acknowledges the four-legged veterans of our human wars. As with any human event, the animals are thrown unwillingly into the mix but these at least had a chance to do something other than be just victims.

The dogs deserve this...they have for a long time now. As for spending on armor...well that is a lost cause. We get approved for everything by people that have never had boots on ground and sit behind a desk...their whole world is in paperwork. More armor wouldn't help anyways...new ROE and holding the President to OPSEC standards would help save more lives. Give us monuments it makes us and our working dogs feel better...at least it makes is seem like people almost care if we die or not.
