I'm coming out of my hole (not that I'm going very far). I haven't been to LA Cafe in a long time, I last remembered it as a smaller version of City Club for metalheads. But the local scene is slowly starting to get more genre variety. I am also going to ask Stichiz some questions about DJing, because when I have time I want to eventually subject fellow hicks around the county to Indie and Dreamwave. I will probably come around 10. If I don't end up doing much conversing I'll probably sip a beer and play video games on my laptop.

I would eventually like to play some stuff at local bars, maybe more next year when I'm less busy, I am more concerned with beautiful music. :cheers:

For a second I was wondering if the DJs hired these "BEAUTIFUL WOMEN" to walk through the crowd of ghoulish party goers so they could be positive that "BEAUTIFUL WOMEN" would be there...else, this is false advertisement... :hrhr:

For a second I was wondering if the DJs hired these "BEAUTIFUL WOMEN" to walk through the crowd of ghoulish party goers so they could be positive that "BEAUTIFUL WOMEN" would be there...else, this is false advertisement... :hrhr:

They are trying to bring people into their nights with Go Go dancers. I think it might be part of their DJ company. :question: There was some chick dancing in front of me while I was being attacked by monsters.

I'm all for hot chicks dancing, even though nothing about that or dancing itself is, in my personal opinion, Punk or Goth to me. That's why I've always been bored at Necto. I would like to get more involved in creating a local Alternative scene and primarily see Alternative music get more local recognition. And I would like to be drunk at a local bar and hear the Holy Trinity of Indie (Gauntlet Hair, The New Division, and TV on the Radio). :p

Have you tried hooking up with d:konstruct in his ongoing mission to open a new goth club? My only contribution to the thought currently has been Asian style Karaoke boxes...for which I would pay through the nose to sing in if someone would do one in actual Detroit... :biggrin:

"Local" for me means in my county. I don't live up North and I'm not particularly concerned about it. It goes back to defying this concept from people that they should run away from small towns to seek entertainment. Instead of sticking around, creating new culture, and even entirely new scenes.

Dude...? Up North...last I heard he was trying for Downtown Detroit...are we talking upper Michigan or Canada? Interesting concept...in my house, we believe in running to small towns to seek entertainment...that's why I'm always bugging people outside and on the fringes of Detroit to let me come hang with them... :rofl: So far, my favorite escape is Holly, Michigan... :biggrin:

This event was around two hours South of Detroit.
