Video Blogging - Your Thoughts

Recommended Posts

Posted

I am curious as to what thoughts, opinions and/or discussions come to light in reference to the perceived mindset of the video blogger or for that matter in relation to the world of video blogging altogether.

I am intrigued by what personal feelings are invoked or surface and make themselves present concerning this topic.

If you would care to share, please do.

Thanks

The ones that intrigue me the most are intellectual social commentary on stuff. But I also like people joking around.

Does it change your perspective on the type of person you think the blogger is or do you view it as just another form of entertainment?

More as entertainment because people are complex and subject to change. I eat nachos from Taco Bell because I haven't figured out how to make better nachos.

The more I think about it, the more I think maybe I shouldn't. I do overkill too well, and I might make a mistake and go off on something as asinine as seeing an advertisement that states how "Nothing beats an Astronaut"...I think more investigation is warranted...or I can just become the latest in a line of opinionated individuals who shoot their mouths off about the least little thing. It only takes one moment in a lack of verbal judgement to become infamous...

True. That thought for me is a little different, because its followed by a train of thought, "If I say something, or totally screw up my relationship up with a person or group, what are the different things I can say to ride it off, or make it seem like nothing?"

I have a constant personal aspiration for the devil's tongue, which is the most efficient way to inject my liberal opinion into mainstream consciousness.

With some select people I think, if they were to think, "Are you my enemy?" My reply would be, "Yes, the question." And I'm also probably just a little crazy. :harhar:

Hmmm...well that makes two of us, but I know I'm a little bit crazy...

You can. Perhaps running a test response within your closest circle first and getting their opinions may be fair. Also, any subject you are deeply interested in and have researched well will fit into some kind of "audience" despite the aforementioned commercial. Remember, you can't make everyone happy. That's just plain impossible. I say, first shoot yourself and then watch it. If it makes you happy, you will make at least most others happy as well.

Thanks, I think I will try that first.

Over the past 2 years, 3 separate individuals have made suggestions about me doing some form of video blogging. I wonder if it is that they think or believe I have something worth saying...? The most I've done to date is released a very poor production of a video I made in support of the surviving victims of the tsunami that hit Japan in 2011 and a 3 part video release of the Opening Ceremony of The World Steam Expo 2. I suppose video blogging is another platform I could try having fun with like I do here on DGN...

Why not? What about to come out is quite a cliche but it's cliche for a reason: try it, you won't know until u try it whether it's something worthy or not. At least you will know as opposed to looking back and saying "what if".

I plan to make video blogs out of all my essays for sure. The only place I could do it at is at my friends house and I'm drowning to death in a sea of numbers, choking on equations and alien terminology and symbols, some of which change by the decade.. until someone finally finds me and I'm dead, with the loop in a giant foam number 9 wrapped around my neck, which just happens to be a brand new episode of Sesame Street's number of the day. 9's menacing foam eyes will be filled with a misanthropic bloodlust, his red tail almost in a grin of capricious fulfillment.. dangling under my purple, expressionless face as the laugh of the Count reverberates in the background..
