DGN parents/kids gathering...

At CC on Saturday, sglgothicmom and I discussed having a gathering (Perhaps monthly?) of DGN parents and thier kiddies. Could be an outdoor location, at someone's house, whatever. What we do will depend on the age of the kids, people's interests, etc. If nothing else it's some time for the adults to talk with other adults without having to find someone to watch the little ones.

I would anticipate this being a daytime-ish sorta event.. Alcohol kept to a minimum.

However... I'm thinking for the first one we should keep it simple and low key. Give the kids time to get aquainted and the parents a chance to relax.

We can hire Crank and DarkChyld to amuse them all.

i have 3 kids: my son is 9 1/2, and my daughters are 3 1/2 and almost 2 (2 in september).

i am with my kids full time. i am a stay at home mom so basically anything works for me! especially in the summer since they are all here every day, all day. until my son goes back to school and my daughter starts in the fall.

No plans yet... Probably on a Saturday afternoon later this month. Most likely I will invite everyone over to my house. I have a good sized inflatable pool for the kids to play in... it's sheltered so they don't have to worry about sunburn... The adults can hang outside, inside.. on the front porch..whatever. I'm thinking we could do a pot luck thing for food. That usually works out well...

I'll consider any and all suggestions...

Well i got three kiddies (5b, 8g, 10b) that i know i have to get busy this summer or they will drive me nuts.... .. I know we would be up for this.
