Just thought I'd start a new discussion on this. I think it would be great to post what workout we did in order to promote accountability and motivate each other.

Today, I went to kickboxing class.

30 min of cardio (i need the endurance for all you anti cardio people), bench press, cest press, butterflies

yesterday was deadlifts until failure, incline situps while holding weights and glute bridges - for SI joint stabilization.

Today is stretch and recover day.

Change of plans. No ground-fighting class so it's just open WOD. 5x5 deadlifts, strict shoulder press, bench press and squats.

Today begins my programs "deload week". 4 training days of training light, to give the central nervous system time to recover, give muscles/joints/ligaments/connective tissue time to heal and repair....then I add more weight to the bar and start the cycle over again!

Today, it was just straight-up cardio and core. Tonight, I skate.

My legs are sore from yesterday. I'm going to kettlebell class soon. I wonder what we're doing. Maybe 300s? 300 kb swings, 300 goblet squats, and 300 kb deadlifts? Oh dear...

Tooth is killing me so nothing

For the record, I hate kettlebell cleans as much as I hate burpees and whatever those plank/jumping jack things are..

Happy Squatterday!

Ditto.

I logged 18.7 miles on my pedometer at work yesterday. I run a trimmer all day at a landscaping job. Muscles getting bigger. Life getting better. Hooah.

Posted

Just got home from work and about to go for a run.

Posted

I did run/walk intervals for a mile. What can I say? I guess a mile is kind of weak but I did just work 12 hours and I am a bit out of shape.

Biked 5.16 miles through the Dotte

Posted

last night: squats, decline bench, pronated wide-grip lat pulldowns, seated face pulls, suitcase crunches.

Posted

Kayaking for 2 1/2 hours.

Posted

See above. Kayaking is tiring.

Posted

Leg press, deadlifts. I felt like vomiting afterwards

Posted

1 mile run, sprint a block, walk the last 50 ft, repeat. made it in under 11 min.

Warm up:

10 goblet squats

10 push ups

10 pike planks

3 sets

WoD:

With a partner complete

100 box jumps

100 pull ups

100 kettlebell swings

2000 m row

My partner and I split the WoD.

Last part of the work out was pushing the CrossFit sled to one end of the gym and pulling it back. Sled had about 50lbs on it.

      About to head up to Roseville to return this rental and pick up my truck from the auto shop.  It is supposedly sporting a newly fabricated frame rail...I don't think they are referred to as "chassis" anymore as I see the confusion in shop owner's eyes when they ask me if I'm looking for "body work?".   But I do find it interesting that I told the owner that I worked direct with OEM parts and yet he still wrote me up an invoice with overpriced OEM parts from companies I used to host at the place I used to work for.  With that said, I'm expecting a stellar job for the amount I paid.   ...else, there will be some talk negotiations.

      ~~~~~ Definitely wishing you luck.  Do enjoy yourselves.   But I have to admit, the first thing that came to mind was does roadside assistance reach the desert? 😬
      ~~~~~ Yeah, it's like something happened to my metabolism this past Winter and when I came out of hibernation, that AARP Join Request started looking like something to check into.

      This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...
