I wanted to be in the Coast Guard but I couldn't pass the physical.  They don't allow people to serve who have major back injuries on their medical records.  

I would like to thank all of those who have served in any branch.  You sacrifice a lot to help keep us safe and allow us to enjoy all of the benefits this country provides.

I like this one as even though I myself have the problem of forgetting the non-living veterans (unless they were close family) many millions more are to be remembered going back to the founding.  My mother and "the church" talked me out of joining the military. To bad I'm too old and sick to join now.  Fucked thing is I have PTSD but didn't get from being in the army.
