We lost our Jeweled Lacerta tonight.  We took her in 2 years ago in State College PA when the local police found her thrown out behind a dumpster.  She will be greatly missed.

I'm so sorry that you lost her. Losing a pet is horrible. My thoughts are with you.

It is a big horrible part of animal rescue.  Sadly we can't save them all.  She was having eye issues and I tried everything I could think of but she was just refusing to eat.

I know what you mean. You can't save them all. But you do your best and that's what counts the most. Many people don't even care.

We are sad about it and Chel and I will miss her a lot but we will just have to move on.  We love our rescues and hopefully we can do more rescue work once we get a bit more stabilized.

She is the one we got the chance to meet, correct? I just loved her blue markings and how intelligent her eyes looked. So adorable.
