Richard Hatch has passed away at the age of 71 due to pancreatic cancer.  He entered hospice a few weeks ago.  He received a Golden Globe nomination in 1979 for his role a Apollo on Battlestar Galactica.

Well that's a shame. :(

He did a really good job playing the rebel leader terrorist / suicidal anarchist turned statesmen in the reboot too.

I know he did other things in his career, but to me, he will always be Captain Apollo Adama, Viper Space Fighter Pilot of the Battlestar Galactica.  Rest in Peace.

I remember him replacing Michael Douglas in the Streets of San Francisco.

Loved that man.

He will be missed. I especially enjoyed his part on the BSG reboot.
