Day 13. Still stuck. Managed to get a sim card for my phone so I could reactivate it. Now, to try my one, last lifeline that I was hoping to avoid. Time to call... My dad. . and hope he can help!

Good news is I found a Uhaul place nearby and I could rent a truck and dolly and tow my car home for 525 for the rental plus gas. Hopefully he can help me get that. Ugh please God get me and my poor car out of here!

PS - ABQ sucks just sayin it's worse than Breaking Bad even portrays. Scary shit out here. I did the math and I've already walked over 60 miles of this city in the last 13 days and it's pretty bad.

Empty bottles of 99 bananas *everywhere* needles pipes in the streets ppl high on the sidewalks the whole bit. .

Ok! It's a miracle of miracles, but I'm going home tomorrow!!!!!  Dad came to the rescue, got a uhaul truck &trailer reserved for pickup at 9:30am, and I will be gone by 10! Adios, ABQ! One more night in the Flying J - holy fuck what a nightmare this was I can hardly even believe I'm actually getting out of here.

idk why it's giving me an error when I try to upload pics but yeah no exaggeration I have never seen so many empty and broken alcohol bottles on a street/sidewalk/everywhere like there are, here. The roads glisten with broken glass up and down each side, and empty plastic shooters of 99 bananas and fireball. And of course the usual needles which are pretty much in every major city now. 
 

But have you ever seen those Youtube docus on Kensington in Philadelphia? With all the people lookin like zombies, bent over in half standing on the sidewalk? Yeah, all that, too.

I'll try to get some footage before I leave. Not trying to make myself a target though so no promises 🤣🤷🤠👍

Also, regarding images, see if it is trying to upload as an attachment or being added to a saved album.

The attachments have a limit max storage limit.  The albums currently do not.

Man I'm glad I got out of ABQ when I did - I have been sick as hell since I got home. Pretty sure it's Valley Fever. I feel like I've been hit by a train. That, and a huge storm rolled thru there over the weekend. I hope some of the people I met are doing ok. I met this couple that were obviously not on drugs and just trying to get back on their feet.. They were staying in a storm drain. I gave them my email and stuff but no word from them. Idk hopefully they're ok and hit me up, eventually.

I'm irritated slightly.

This is crazy.

 

I had to mute my phone because I am getting 50+ calls a day regarding Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Burial Benefits, a Senior Food Expense Card, a Senior Social Security monthly reimbursement benefit, etc., and I don't qualify for any of it.  I don't even meet the age requirement.

 

At current, I have 53 missed calls and 38 of them were from yesterday.

I have no idea why I'm even on all of these call lists that are on Robo-Dial by A.I.  One is a female voice and the other is a male voice and all they did was change the name that they give you.  I did get put through to a few live people to try to ask them to remove me from their list, but they, the telemarketer, hung up on me.

 

It's like I'm living "Telemarketers Revenge" for all the years of people handing up on them.

 

I always spoke with the telemarketer and then wished them a good day before hanging up.  And this is what I get for all of my decades of kindness.  I don't think I deserve this, but the World has lost a lot of the niceties that it used to have when I was growing up.  And no...COVID did not cause this.  I'm also getting tired of that excuse.  Its been 6 years!  People felt they were given the Green Light to be anti-social and rude to your face and now it is part of society just like everything else Mainstream adopts and considers it a cultural add-on.

 

I just hope I can survive this onslaught of calls blowing up my phone until it dies down.  Else, I will place a block on my number and only allow calls from family, friends and medical associated with my job.

I know the feeling! So get this, when I was stuck in ABQ I decided to re-activate my phone. Now, for years I have been running a Straight Talk Mobile Hotspot for wifi instead of paying for actual phone service, because I get more data for 50 bucks on the wifi plan than I would get for the same price for my phone plan, and I don't call anybody very often if ever, so it only made sense. Well while I was in ABQ I got desperate and decided I needed to make some phone calls so I walked down to Walmart to get a  45 dollar plan for my phone, only to realize that I had to walk back to walmart again (4 miles one way) to get a new Sim card, because the one I had was too old, apparently... 

Anyway, literally the second I reactivate my phone - I got a phone call from a frickin' debt collector!  I mean it was so instantaneous that I assimed it was Straight Talk calling to confirm my activation or something - instead it was somebody with a foreign accent that I could barely understand, asking for whoever the person was that previously had the phone number I had just been assigned. . . I was so irritated with this fact. 
 

And yeah now I'm getting multiple calls, daily, from everybody and their brother, looking for whoever the person was that used to have this number.  Wells Fargo, AT&T, etc etc. 
 

I think there needs to be some better way of doing this. Recycling phone numbers as fast as we do this day & age isn't working out very well. 🤷
