It was weird. I mean I don't think it could have been the pipes although the plumber did come do something to the pipes and I'm next to the utility room. Maybe it was coming from there but it really did sound like someone knocked . It legit scared me.

When we were growing up, there was a trend going around where young men would ring the doorbells in apartment buildings to find out which ones had female occupants.  When they found what they were looking for, they would knock on the door or ring the doorbell to that apartment, rob and rape the occupant then disappear.

It didn't get much coverage because it was the 80's and happening in a Black neighborhood at the Jefferies Housing Projects known as the Brewster-Douglas Apartments, before they were eventually closed down.  It was a scary time and investigators eventually discovered that 2 of the guys doing it, actually lived in the apartment complex and would let their buddies in to aid in committing the crimes.  They arrested 4 individuals, but the damage was done.

I am not sure what I was expecting with Blade Runner: Black Lotus, but it's a bit of a letdown.  I'm not sure if it is lost in translation or actually just that bad.

Good thing I started a clean up today.  I found 3 bills I misplaced from last week.

I'm the only person who lives here and yet it seems laundry is never-ending.

And dishes too🤷‍♀️

But whats messed up is that I live across from the laundry room so everytime I or anyone do clothes my house has to be dusted. Smh I'm just not enough woman to dust that much 😔

Maybe that's why I'm alone.  I simply don't dust enough. Not that I'm eccentric, idealistic, messy, moody, fat, my mouth sucks as do most dudes I have met in my recent years. Naw, none of those.

And my face..is scarred. I forget that sometimes.  I mean,  oh well, I had fun jumping around like a lunatic as a child.  I still do here and there.

OMG, that's terrible! I think my mom had said something about that happening somewhere before too..Maybe same place.  I remember those projects, though. Didn't they build condos there now?

I know they shut down Herman Gardens (it was on the West side though) I think they shut them down in the 90s because my daughter's fathers friend lived right around the corner at the time and we used to hang out in his basement like everyday lol.

There used to be 6 main skyrise buildings.  They have since knocked down 3 of them and relaunched the area, with a full remodel, as Jefferies-West Homes and Woodbridge Senior Apartments.

Lol..I have chocolate.  I use it in and make Bulletproof coffee,  I notice since I started doing Bulletproof coffee the keto thing seems to be starting to work. I almost got unflavored but I can't resist chocolate.  🤘🤘🤘

I didn't mix it with anything else, so it tasted like Strawberry Lemonade with a hint of powdery gelatin - Jello.  Not bad, but not something I would go out of my way to drink.  So maybe I should have mixed it with something.  But what do you mix with Strawberry Lemonade?

Is it dubbed? English dubs are the worst...

Unfortunately, yes.

The sad part is they did a full month of promotion for the show saying how it was back by popular demand and they held interviews with the Japanese creators and the storyboard artist.

They were so proud of the realism of the CGI and how well they stuck to the imagery of the original "American Blockbuster Hit" that it created an unforeseen issue (in my opinion).  The show looks so real that you forget you are watching a creation and therefore, all of the characters' actions are over the top.  They spend more time setting the scenes for the next battle sequence that the dialogue is lacking.  Every time someone smirks, you know there is about to be a throwdown.

In the very first episode, they say the truck is running through the desert to California.  Yet they arrive in what looks like a futuristic New York and every sign and billboard is CLEARLY in Japanese.  You can't miss the Geisha on the giant floating billboard that goes all over town.

I am making myself watch it because I dislike voicing my opinion about something that I didn't get the full experience of.  They have only aired 3 episodes and I have already predicted the next steps (which is why I don't watch trailers or promo commercials).

I will watch the original release after this one ends so I can mentally compare notes.

Definitely getting back into meditating on a regular basis.  We are finally putting some family matters to rest and I'm good with it...extremely freeing.

Something is wrong with our water.  Every time I drink it, my gums go numb...
