Sprint/Nextel

"After the recent merger of AT&T and Cingular, it looks like Sprint is close to buying Nextel. According to CNet, the different networks could bring expensive problems, but that could be overcome by the diversity of the company's clients. Nextel has many corporate clients, while Sprint appeals to families and teens."

For some odd reason I see this turning out to be a HP/Compaq merger. Everything ends up becoming crappy...

Well if they are smart they will keep the 2 seperate, but over lap the networks as to increase both sides coverage. But that would be if they were smart... A lot of us in IT were hoping for the samething when Compaq was bought by HP, and that is so far from the truth...

I have nextel - I HATE WALKIE TALKIE!! aaargh!

People assume that just because they push the little button when they see my name that I am ready for a call from them. Heaven forbid I could be in another room...or involved in conversation...or in line at the grocery store. GAH.
