Roll of thunder...

It just spent the greater part of the last half-an-hour thundering like nothing else. I haven't experienced thunder like this since I lived in Phoenix. That was awesome.

Now -- if only my roommate had actually taken me to Best Buy like I wanted earlier this week so that I could buy myself a new UPS to replace the one that was broken...

I am thinking of getting one for the laptops in the living room. A small one.

The wiring in this house is horrible, terrible in fact, there is no ground anywhere but in the kitchen and the bathroom, and I'm not going to up and run an extention cord out of either of those rooms to get it... Power brownouts a lot, and the UPSs that I do have are kind of made less effective without having a ground...

But it's really nice to still have my computer on when the power flickers.
