MUSKEGON, MI - A swarm of people dressed in their gothic best will be making their way to Michigan’s Adventure next month.

The Darkness Underground, an Illinois-based gothic event group, is inviting people to participate in the inaugural Gothic Invasion at Michigan’s largest amusement park on Sunday, June 30.

Is this @cthulhu63's doing? I remember the FB post gauging interest but I didn't realize it was big enough for Mlive to catch it.

Happy to see that Goths of Muskegon is going strong! I keep hoping Goths of Grand Rapids gets a second wind because I think more lowkey events like this would be popular there.

(And I often think about starting a Goths of Holland page to make a West Michigan trifecta but I am not a strong organizer of people)

I think you doubt yourself too much.

I'm not, but that's only because I piss off half the scene and I refuse to use most social media.

In any case I should probably shove this in the Daylife section, but this gets so little traffic I'm sure it'll still be here in a month.

      About to head up to Roseville to return this rental and pick up my truck from the auto shop.  It is supposedly sporting a newly fabricated frame rail...I don't think they are referred to as "chassis" anymore as I see the confusion in shop owner's eyes when they ask me if I'm looking for "body work?".   But I do find it interesting that I told the owner that I worked direct with OEM parts and yet he still wrote me up an invoice with overpriced OEM parts from companies I used to host at the place I used to work for.  With that said, I'm expecting a stellar job for the amount I paid.   ...else, there will be some talk negotiations.

      ~~~~~ Definitely wishing you luck.  Do enjoy yourselves.   But I have to admit, the first thing that came to mind was does roadside assistance reach the desert? 😬
      ~~~~~ Yeah, it's like something happened to my metabolism this past Winter and when I came out of hibernation, that AARP Join Request started looking like something to check into.

      This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...
