ANY REN people that can tell me if a corset will go well with this type of gown?

I does tie up pretty tight, but I was wondering if it would look cool as an accessory or something....

Kelly, that's gorgeous!!!! How about an underbust corset? I would consult with Nienna. She's the corset queen!

Well... That dress is period correct for a corset, but not in the modern sense. They were worn under the gown, usually a half or demi corset coming to the nipple area. They typically were fairly straight, creating a more triangular shape, and supporting the bust rather than accentuating the waist. They were also called stomachers in period. They are NOT comfortable. That style looks great on most everyone without foundation garmets. If you're anything like me, I'm typically very active and quite plastered before a Renn or SCA event is over. I avoid the corset at all costs... (Unless seriously stalking some Renn boy.. *L* )
