*note: this is only an excerpt

*double note: i'm not posting this because i feel this is especially true for anyone here, just that it's a very interesting opinion and outlook, and one that i tend to agree with

*triple note: however, ninety percent of all statistics are made up

*quadruple note: including that one

America is simultaneously the most professedly Christian of the developed nations and the least Christian in its behavior.

Also... I do know many christians, and I do know a few GOOD christians, but not as many as I'd like to. Not that I think being christ-like would be an easy thing, mind you.

p.s.... I am not a good christian -- I am not a christian.

Good read, thanks

I still question whether or not I am an actual Christian. I believe in God and Jesus. But, I also believe in a lot of other things. I guess I'll just keep my open mind and hope that I don't rot.

Maybe you're a "Jesusian". I don't think I made that up, but I use it a lot. I'm happily pagan, but I profoundly believe in Jesus as a holy & good person, with profound teachings. So I am a Jesusian.

I also dig the saints and what they stood for. A lot of "real" people there, with plenty of faults & problems. Yet still very holy and good examples.

I like that....Jesusian.

Seeing as how America is the most powerful and richest nation ever, maybe other countries should follow our lead.

Jesusian is infact a real word. These are people that follow the teachings of Christ and toss the rest of the Bible.

I have to wonder - how do "official" Jesusians determine what were his actual teachings and what came from the authors of the book itself.

Don't the Mormons do something like that? Strictly follow the words of Jesus himself through some "other" source?

Stuff I'd like to know more about. There's room in my heart & mind for aspects of widely different religions/spiritualities.

I don't like the word christian. I was always taught that christian meant 'Christ like'. Well most people who say they are christian are nothing like Christ. NOt even close.
