My Mom's Very First Tattoo

On 8/8, my mom is getting her first tattoo. She's 62. I'm getting more stars, she's getting God knows what. This is a birthday gift that she's wanted for the last 4 years, and I've promised her for so long that she'd get it. It's finally happening for her.

She thinks she can stop at one......HA!

I got my first this year....I think the older one's body is, the better it looks with lots of ink anyway, but thats me.

She's so excited! It's really cute to see. She didn't believe me when I said that I would pay for it. This is the first year that Wayne and I have been able to afford to do anything since his cancer. We're both really happy to do this for her.

horra for the first tattoo!! it should be interesting. has she asked you what it feels like to get a tattoo? i always describe it as being scratched by a cat over and over again.

My mom wants to get one but can't really decide what she wants to get. She says that she likes my dragon on my upper right arm, but I can't really see my mom with something like that (not saying that she shouldn't, just doesn't match her personality or something I don't know, I'm not making sense) I want more soon, I want to get something drawn up that can incorporate the names of my daughters

LOL! My mom said something about a unicorn. I almost vomited, but it's her birthday gift. You would think that she would have gotten my dad's name-they've been together for so freakin' long!!

That's so cool, make sure she knows full well there will be pain. My first tattoo was rather large and I didn't realize until after it started that all the black required would be a bitch to sit through. 4 1/2 hours later and it was done. Anywhoz.....I got sidetracked. :grin

She knows. I already warned her. I just wish that somebody would have warned me that the stars on my chest were going to kill me! My right leg twitched while Johnny Love was doing them!

I finally talked my mom into getting inked, so for our birthdays in February, she is going to pay for mine and I'm going to pay for hers. I just hope she doesn't chicken out by then!

I got my mom her first tattoo last mothers day. 3 tear drops by her eye.

It surprised alot of people that my mom didnt have one already, hell surpirsed me that I got one first.

Now she wants more.
