Being a "car nut" I'm surprised I didn't notice this sooner. (Or I missed it) There's no thread on cars!!!

So here it is: Tell us about your car. Why you love it or hate it. What's wrong and what's right about it. Tell us about your most or least favorite cars. Tell us your wierd car-related stories. Anything to do with cars is fair game.

The one thing in my pathetic little life that I actually take SOME pride in is my car.

I bent over with my ass high in the air to get it.

2005 Scion xA

I like it because it gets AWSOME gas mileage, and it has a color changing radio face which seems petty and lame but it's way cool to me.....It also has a 6 - disc changer and Satellite and MP3.

The only thing is it doesn't really have "Umph".....you know, it "Might" go from 0-50 in like 2 minutes....well maybe not that extreme....you get the pic...

A few years ago this was the car I owned and loved. A 92 Camaro Z28. Though mine had T tops (this isn't a pic of mine) but everything else hear is the same. Black interior with a kick ass cd player (it never skipped). Had to get rid of it due to the loss of a great paying job and high gas prices. My daughter was with me when I sold it and she waved goodbye to the car and said she was gonna miss it. Not nearly as much as I do. :tear

I'd give my left nut to get another one.

Pondering wicked ideas to snap it up!

I drive a 2005 Focus ZX4 I like that I get good gas mileage with it. Before it I owned a 1999 Malibu, and the gas mileage was not so great. Plus I like it because this is the first car EVER that I have gotten financed on my own.

Do tell!! :woot:

I'm currently driving a 2001 Honda Oddesey, but it's lease is up at the end of the month so I'm in the market for new wheels. Top of the list is a new Mazda 3 5-door but I have a lot of ideas floating around in my head about other possibilities. These include other new cars, since the current incentives are pretty nice or possibly something used in the $15,000 range. (Lot's of nice stuff seems available at that price.)

I should also mention that I own a 1978 Lancia Beta Coupe and a slightly crumpled 1993 Ford Escort wagon. Both are for sale. *hint hint*

You know, I really like that new Mazda 3.....the hatch back one....it looks so sharp and fun....especially in that new orange color. If I wasn't so against their marketing and commercials, I MAYBE would have considered one of them.....

I REALLY hate that commercial where the people are dressed up as Hair folicles on a dude's arm......If you have seen it you would know. I think it is such a lame commerical.

I also don't eat White Castle due to their marketing and commercials.

I guess I am strange like that.

i have a 1989 woody mini van. *waits til all the laughing subsides*.... it is ... interesting. just got it a few months ago as my car was too small for a family of 5. well it always had been but my husband FINALLY goes to get us a mini van one day and comes home with this thing. the intererior is nice, great condition. except for the middle seat which moves back and forth. everyone seems to like that feature... weeeeeeee. it has air conditioning which i was shocked air conditioning had been invented when this thing was made. it is the first mini van ever after all. ok obviously not really - but i say that and someone believed me once.

it clunks, tick tick tick tick ticks, smells sometimes, and squeals the tires every once in awhile. yeah, he's a fiesty old man. his name is rod b. woody and he's a pimp.

I don't watch TV. Lucky me... Hehhee. I know the Ferndale Mazda dealer.... it may or may not help on price... :whistling

I goofed up on the Toyota supercharger. They only have one for the Tc; None or the xA or xB.

These guys do, though: http://scionsport.com/store/product_info.p...a4b0f365ba324ce

I have a 1999 Nissan Sentra 4-door. It's black. My front seats have pink and black covers with stars and a red-headed gril on them. They say "Diva", by Fred Is Red. I love when my Dad (or any other guy for that matter) sit in my front seats. It takes a real man to be able to sit on those seats.

Hmm.. Well.. I went to WyoTech for automotive classes, etc.etc. I've been working on cars for a few years as a hobby and doing side jobs for people I know..

I currently own an 87 Firebird (silver) and an 87 Trans Am (black). Neither of them are running right now because I am working on their engines. I'm putting a 305 with a slightly wild camshaft in the T/A and a 427 in the Firebird.

But neither of those cars are what I'd call my dream cars.. What I really want to do is make a 7 second hearse.

I want to take a 1960 Pontiac Hearse:

don60superiorfull.jpg

and make it go down a 1/4 mile dragstrip in 7 seconds. This is a nearly impossible goal.. Nearly.. I'm going to have to have custom fiberglass body panels to replace those heavy solid steel ones, just to drop 500 or so pounds from the frame. Then I'm going to have to put a powerhouse in the engine bay.. Probably a 502 with a huge supercharger.. Maybe even bigger than that. It's going to cost well over $150,000 in the end, and probably take about 10 years to completely finish. But that's my dream car. I want to call it "7 Seconds to the Grave" and keep a coffin in the back. Actually, I plan to use a coffin as an outer shell for a fuel cell.

I also have a drawing for some custom Pentegram rims I want to have made for it. They would only be for show since you have to use a certain type of rim in drag racing (NHRA safety standards and bs)

I plan on buying a hearse in a year or two. I want to goth out the interior and drive it as a limo.

Currently I'm driving a 93 Ford F150. It has a Fuel injected 300 straight 6 with fuel injection and headers. I'm having some problems as one of the nuts that hold the distributor cap on is broken off and i need to get it fixed asap.

As soon as I get things settled down there is good chance I'll be getting a mazda MX5 Miata, the new model. If all the car mags I am reading about this mew Miata are even half right I am going to have a good time driving that.

I wish I could own a two seater... But I have kids. Even though I'll most likely have a "beater" around that can carry them, I still want them both to be able to ride in my "fun" car.

We have a 97 Mercury Sable station wagon for the family car. I want the two seater for those rare times that it's just me and the wife getting out to have fun. Also, most of the time, i only drive to go back and forth to work. So a two seater with really good gas millage would be cool for that too.

95 Peugeot 106 1.5 Diesel 0-60 eventually, 60 miles to gallon fully laden

88 Peugeot 205 1.4 Unleaded 0-60 fast enough, 40mpg which is insane compared to ikts pickup

only first one is roadworthy at the mo, as the latter has very close gear ratios (copes very well with going up mountain roads) it doesnt like motorway (freeway) use

i want a 1950 humber hearse

or some big american opentop in black with minimal of chrome, 4 seats for gothic pimpness

Go for it, Shade. One of my friends has one, and she loves it. She loves it more than her husband. It works harder.

96 Lincoln Towncar Black with black leather interior.

Despite being 10 years old its got fairly low miles and was like-new when i got it (Year and a half (?)) ago. Not quite like-new anymore but still in good shape and runs well.

I like boats, they are good for comfort while driving and cuddling while not. :whistling

Its recently to decided that it about 50% of the time doesnt want to push the AC out of the vents that blow right onto the passengers in the dashboard and wants to shove it out the defrost vents instead, as if its going into "defrost" mode or some such. Thus pissing me off becasue it takes forever to cool off when it does that... and half the time fogs up the windshield.

Was working fine the whole time i had it up until recently. hrmmm *ponder*

I have a blue/grey 2001 Ford Taurus SE. I love my car. It drive wonderfully, and gets great gas mileage. It's not terribly interesting, but it's a great little car.

I have a 2001 Dodge Stratus. I call her the bad-karma-mobile because she has been through some shit. She's been hit 4 different times, stolen (pissed in, beer spilled in it, seats knifed, crack smoked in it, when she was stolen), blown out tires, a few minor engine issues...but I love her anyway. She averages 25 mpg city and 29 mpg highway, and for only being a 4 cylnder, she's got some kick when I hit the gas. She has 70, 500 miles on her now, and I plan on driving her until she can't go anymore (mostly because I am too poor to get another car, and because I love her).

wow... so far from this thread i can tell....

none of you are as cool as ME. me and my rod b. woody til the end.

*clunk clunk tick tick tick tick squuuuueeee clunk* ok he is not THAT noisy... just showing off for you now.

Before I had my Stratus I had a 91 Plymouth Voyager and it made the clunk, tink tink tink tink, clunk clunk noises. The shocks were totally gone, so the back bounced like crazy, and the far back bench was missing, but the extra space came in handy at times :devil

I have a 2001 Toyota Celica...Just like the picture minus the spoiler and black on black. post-297-1123283875_thumb.pngI'd like to drop an inline 6 and twin turbo chargers in there, but then I'd have to adjust the suspension, get 18" wheels, basically its a $15-20,000 job to get it the way I want.

I'll probably instead just drive it until its dead. At which time, I'll buy something else.
