Are you doing this becuase you like it or are you just doing it to shock people and get attention? Do you foresee yourself acting the same way your whole life or do you think you'll eventually grow out of it Huge difference between baby-goth and über-goth.

Or maybe you just need to pick better friends who don't pass judgement you.

Do what feels right. Dress how you feel. it's time for new friends if all they can do is tear you down. There's an admitted yuppie in our midst... and I' doubt many people would ever consider me goth... Who cares. It's your life.

I looked it up on line once and the official deffinition in this one site was someone who is excepting of others wierd sexual preferences....? Is that all it takes? Then I guess I have always been one...it was dumb.

I do listen to 'goth' I think that might be part of it.....

I like 'goth' stuff.....

Food for thought: I host karaoke in a goth/industrial/alternative bar. Used to be all over the place in terms of the "Goth Scene" and I don't even consider myself uber goth. It really depends as to how you see yourself. I even ask myself from time to time "Am I Goth?", but that's an essay better left in my head.

Tell me you knew it existed, not that you can rate goth at face value which is all that site is good for.

Anyhow by my definition (yet again) goth is an appreciation of the darker things in life. If you can appreciate the beauty in wilted flowers, funerals, and pain then you are at least in some part a goth.
