Personally, I think this country is so overly restrictive on young men and women that they are more likely to make bad decisions because they told they can’t or not to do something. I know I did a lot of stupid stuff when I was younger (drugs, sex, crime, etc) mainly because I wasn’t suppose to do it and got such a thrill out of it. I think adult hood should start at 16 with total access to drinking, smoking sex whatever drugs included if we ever legalize and regulate them. People need to learn the folly of their ways sometimes but telling people no in my opinion only makes them want to do it all the more. The real responsibility lies in how the child is raised. If I ever have children I want them to know everything as soon as possible so I can guide them. I don’t want any mystique about drinking or drugs. I don’t want my hormone driven teenage to learn about sex from his friends in middle school. I want them to know what is and isn’t factual. Furthermore I want them to decide for themselves what right. If they want to do stupid shit they should be responsible at age 16 for those actions. I just want to help them make the right choices from the beginning.
