Ginevra Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 By some accident, I was given Christmas Eve and Day off. However, I have to work New Year's Eve and Day, which blows mightily. When you're dealt a disappointment at work, how do you deal with it? Do you rant or rave about it to vent or do you quietly acquiesce?
Brenda Starrr Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 I HAD off on NYE, but our DM decided that we ALL have to work. Who the Hell is going to bring their hung-over ass in for a makeover? I'd like to see the crack smoker who spends any money that day.

I know that ranting and raving might get me fired for "insubordination" (or at least at my company it did the last time someone else did that). However, I have voluntarily switched jobs a lot. I have zero company loyalty - a better offer comes along and I'm gone, but I do value my job enough not to complain loudly enough to get me fired. That really really sucks that you two have to work though :(
