Hello everyone,

I will be starting a goth night at the Labyrinth the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month on the 16th. The management will be fixing the Lab up and this will be a regular night once again. My hope is that this will be a regular haven for the local goth community in the metro area. I also take requests so any music you would like to hear, let me know. I have been putting a large library of goth, industrial, synth pop, electro, 80's new wave, noise, and a little punk ti play for the night. If you get there before 10pm admission is free. I would like to model this night after the old Ascension UK days or Oblivion when people were coming out to the Lab. The new Tim Burton movie is also coming out on the same day. Anyone interested in getting together to see the movie, let me know. We also used to do a gothic dining out sorta thing in the past. I hope the night will be fun for all.

Requiem: a vampire theme night (opening Septmember 16th)

9pm-2am (remember last call for alcohol is 2am so get there early!)

18 and up corner of Cass and Bagley at the Labyrinth

with dj grave robert (I know it's cheesy)

any questions or requests email me here:

How I miss Ascension UK

I hear ya. It was a special place. Maybe we can recreate something like that at the Lab. I wish I had access to a video projector to show wierd movies, creepy images, etc on the walls. I just bought a new fog machine for the place and we will be fixing the lights as well. Any suggestions?

what is the planned cover after 10? oh, and is the floor going to be all wet and icky or is that being fixed this time around so I can wear cute shoes? eh, I'll be there anyhow, I spend way to much time in that building

Yeah, stop trying to put a bandaid on an axe wound. That club, no, entire building is in need of MAJOR RENOVATION.

I might end up showing up eventually, I still need to get a hazmat suit for that place with it's own oxygen supply just cause it would be safer.

I still wish you luck with it though, even if I hate the location.

The place is definitely indeed of lots of work, it's the Lab. The last I heard, Ron and Harold have been working hard to fix up the place. Mike doesnt care what happens to the place. If we have a steady regular night there, work will continue to be done to the place. I will be pushing this a lot with Ron and Harold but I need people to come out to the event. The cover is going to be $3.

I hope this helps

the floor should be fine, if not, I'll use my ninja skills, cut some one's head off and use their clothes to cover any wet areas you might walk accross

Hmm. An actual goth night, or at least partially. I'm intrigued. I'll be away the weekend of the 16th but I hope this takes off.

Scary I thought you went there often.

I wondered......it is owned by the same guy?

I want to go to these vamp nights.......eh maybe I will get lucky besides the norm.

I honestly can take allot physically if the vibe is right.....is it the vibe????

We went to the Lab on Saturday nights back in '99-2000. We enjoyed it. Then we went back after a few months and no one was there!! I missed it.

I hope this night works out for you!

Thank you for your support. This is a night Im starting for all of you so please feel free to give me any suggestions or songs you would like to hear. We had such a good time a few years back and I just want to bring that back. I will be playing all sorts of tunes from bands like The Damned, Bauhaus, Cure, Sisters, Blood, Birthday Massacre, the Faint, Siouxsie, Faith and the Muse, Pzycho Bitch, Skinny Puppy, Depeche Mode, London After Midnight, Killing Joke, Devision, A23, VNV, Covenant, Cruxshadows, Ayria, Fiendflug, SITD, Panzer AG, Hocico, Rob Zombie, Death in June, Deine Lakeain, dark music old and new, etc etc..... I have created a huge library of music for people to pick from. I will also add new music each week. If you have something obscure that you think maybe I wont have, bring it and I will play it. Some people brought stacks of CD's back in the day for me and I tried my best to play all requests. But get there early to get the drink specials: $1.50 on gin, whisky, rum, etc before 11pm.

see you soon

September 16th
